Three tips for a convincing photo

  1. Shoot from a cornerHold the phone high and wide, like a camera on the wall. Show the tree and some floor.
  2. Leave the lights onTree lights and a lamp are enough. Very dark photos give a blurry Santa.
  3. Keep people out of itAn empty room makes it believable, and nobody else ends up in the picture.

How to show it on Christmas morning

Most parents make it on Christmas Eve, once the kids are asleep.

  1. Dec 24, 9:30 PM

    Snap the room

Kids in bed, tree lit. Take one photo from the corner and make the video.

  2. 11:58 PM

    Santa arrives

That's the time stamped on the footage, so the story holds together.

  3. Dec 25, 7:00 AM

    Check the camera together

Play it on the TV and watch their face when Santa says their name.
